i think the main war is really V8 vs. 4cyl. almost all domestic v8 drivers still rag on the 4cyl domestics, and group the SRT4 and colbalt ss with the import crowd. i agree with scott hutch, who said domestic drivers feel they are not recognized as much anymore and feel the need to defend domestics. but i think the real reason is that they are not actually defending the reputation of domestics, but they are defending v8's. and there are more and more STOCK 4cyl cars that can take out STOCK v8's. another thing, people will always hate things that are considered "bandwagon", whether its clothes, cars, hairstyles, anything. and with honda holding 4 spots on the list of top 10 cars that hold their value, and the fact that you can drop a stock RSX-s motor into a CRX and run 11's in a daily driven stock motored, n/a, 4cyl honda, its no surprize that they will be hated by everyone except honda enthusiasts.
