I know that dumbass. Thats why the smilie is laffing. Its funny that a person that loves domestics as much as you would say something like that. But just to keep arguing sence you cant get it I have to say its one of the smartest things you have ever said.

i think the main war is really V8 vs. 4cyl. almost all domestic v8 drivers still rag on the 4cyl domestics, and group the SRT4 and colbalt ss with the import crowd. i agree with scott hutch, who said domestic drivers feel they are not recognized as much anymore and feel the need to defend domestics. but i think the real reason is that they are not actually defending the reputation of domestics, but they are defending v8's. and there are more and more STOCK 4cyl cars that can take out STOCK v8's. another thing, people will always hate things that are considered "bandwagon", whether its clothes, cars, hairstyles, anything. and with honda holding 4 spots on the list of top 10 cars that hold their value, and the fact that you can drop a stock RSX-s motor into a CRX and run 11's in a daily driven stock motored, n/a, 4cyl honda, its no surprize that they will be hated by everyone except honda enthusiasts.

You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. Not to mention that slalom only tells one part of the story, Domestics can handle well just like any other car out there. If you setup a suspension right and put on sticky tires it it will go "fast" around corners regardless of what kind of car it is, but the reason Domestics are seen as poor handlers is because of steering feel, composure in uneven corners( solid axle), and generally aren't fun to handle if your at/beyond the limit( solid axle again). Domestics CAN go just as fast around corners, it's just not as an enjoyable expeirence as when you corner carve/road race/ auto-x in an "import".
