try messing around with this c/r calculator for a bit, see what you think. the numbers are pretty close...

this says a switch from GSR to ITR pistons gives you a bump by 1.06 points, which is about 10% of what you are making at the crank now.

yes, with a good tune 11:1 is fine for the street, and can be just as reliable as anything else.
