What I have done is used a 6-8 inch 3 an line from the block and mounted a T on the firewall instead of directly on the motor.

the threads are a metric thread, you can get the proper fitting at amazon hose,
i also would mount a tee on fire wall and go from there, the vibration and movement of the engine - i have seen many of these fittings crack and leak
