I'm just looking up some prices on the Z06 motors, I would like to have a spare one in the garage. If my motor lets go on a Friday I wanna come out Saturday even faster. If not I might send mine as a core and pick one up relatively cheap, I'd come out looking and sounding the same but with 100 more hp. No tuning issues, just drop it in and go, I'm sure I can get over 400 at the wheels with LT's and all the bolt-ons. Anyways the regular C5 motor makes more power, it's just lost through the independent rear suspension, which my car obviously doesnt have.
