depends on the compression of the pistons.
if you are going boost (low c/r), forged pistons are a good idea, but you might want to look into more economical forms of power before you drop $600 into a D16...
if you are going N/A (high c/r), there is no reason for forged internals... get some A1 pistons on LS rods and you will be pushin 12:1, and for a significantly smaller bottom line...
