I'm personally a fan of the exact bore diameter cometics with fire ring. they are custom order. .040" thick. they have worked great for me. holding 400+ whp and 47 pounds of boost for numerous events. can't really argue with that. and they are readily available.

another good one to get is apexi, but they take alot longer to get, and are more difficult.

if youre not trying to run more than 450 whp, i'd reccomend the cometic all day long. i run them in all my motors.

the money that you save doing the cometic can help you save up for some real head studs.
