new problems.
here is the story. I bought a 93 si awhile back. The guy who owned the car used dot4 brake fluid for some odd reason. The guy that I bought the car off of was his friend and was selling it for him. He took some of the brake parts and swapped them with his civic for some reason. He did this before he knew the guy used dot4. So heres where im at now. I bleed the brakes pretty well, or at least what i think is pretty well but im still not getting any brake pressure.
Heres the way i bleed the brakes. I went in the order of passenger back wheel, driver front, driver back, passanger front. I poored dot 3 in the MC. I opened the bleed valve and pumped the pedal to try and get all the dot4 out of the lines. Then i closed the bleed valve and submerged the line in brake fluid. Then pressed and held the pedal. I opened the valve and waited untill the flow stopped. I did this on each wheel and still no pressure. I mean, that sounds like a pretty good bleed to me.
Im starting to wonder if some of the parts he swapped on arent good or arent compatible. my si's not abs right? i think only 94 and 95's where abs. The parts he put on came off a 4 door civic but i think there compatible right? any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
