Different strokes for different folks. Kicker definetly bangs compared to many brands out there. Are they high-end? No. But for the average listener looking for something just loud, they definetly get the job done.
And $100 for a box isn't out of the question, especially if it's custom and/or ported. Don't get mad just because most people can charge 5x what you do. They wouldn't charge it if people weren't willing to pay it.
