I've got 2 quesstions i know the 1st one may be stupid
1.Will peaakers with more watts than an amp sound like crap or will they blow out???
2.I like to listen to hardcore rock and i will like to know what are good speakers and 4 channel amps that are real cheap??? i dont want something that sounds to loud and i want it to sound clear.

 

im not gonna try and convince you to not be a cheapo and get something worth listening to because some moron will definitely chime in and say "no go buy some cheap ass eminence because they are clean." sooo just go to your neighborhood stereo shop and tell them to give you the cheapest shit they got because I promise you they will tell you they are "loud & clean"

But cliffnotes: Loud & Clean do not exist in the same realm as Cheap.

 

You get what you pay for. And no, a higher wattage speaker than amp will not "blow". That number on the speaker is simply recommends the limitation on the size of amp you should run with it. You generally want to get an amp that puts out close to that number however to get the most out of the speaker.

 

who the fuck is eminence? i get probably 3 people a day asking me if we carry them... are they some flea market brand or what?

 

I think you can only find them at flea markets or stereo shops where you get your crap installed in the parking lot out back

They are like the bottom of the rust covered pail at the back of the room that you never get to because there are so many less revolting choices to make in the speaker world. They come in a variety of levels of mediaocracy included buy not limited to:

Alphas - No tweeter, possibly the worst speaker ever made. When you hear them, their horrible quality is unmistakable. Honestly, we heard some at the last meet and we knew immediately they were Alphas.


Kappas - No tweeters, louder than the Alphas but yet managed to maintain an unmistakably disgusting quality of sound. you will hear and recognize the mexiblack sound from these speakers up to(often exceeding) 5 to 10 blocks away as they are often powered by PYLE brand 5000 watt amps.

Patriots - larger, piles of crap, these speakers will go beyond making your ears bleed, they will cause your ears to catarize from the intensely discusting sound outputted from these 8, 10, and 12" paper weights.

Redcoat - Same as above.



There are many types of eminance garbage but theres one major trait that they all have in common and no ghetto riding fool that has 10 of this shit speakers in the back of their car will tell you - They are meant for musical instruments like guitars, stage speakers, Mobile DJ speakers, and guitar amps... not cars.

 

+1 i bought a shitty speaker and a shitty amp at one of those speaker liquidation places cause i wanted something cheap just like you, sounded ok but as soon as you turn it up or the bass hit deep it sounded like shit. so i broke down and bought 2 kicker cvr 12's (not the silver faced ones) and a 1100 watt RMS amp. well needless to say its fuckin loud and sounds awsome. you can hear me coming from about a 1/4 mile away...

 

^ UPGRADED to kicker. Thats saying something about how bad the first speaker he bought really was..

 

yeah its true. i even bought a box for the single 12 it cost me 100 bucks. only problem now, is that the kicker's beat the shit out of my cd player and i cant listen to cd's more than like half volume...but the radio BANGS loud!!!! hence time to buy another 300 dollar cd player but it wont be a Panasonic....

I dunno if you missed it or if you just ignored it but kicker sucks. They dont "bang" and 100 for a sub box is insanely genious... for hte guy who sold it to you. you are stupid for buying it
