most likely, it sounds like you need to clearance your valves. if its a slight clicking at idle, and increases with RPM, and sounds like its coming from the valve cover/top end, you prob just need to clearance them. its not hard to do, just might be tough on the V6.

may be a few things... like he said above... you rocker arms/valve clearence may be off a tad... so you would need to check and adjust the clearance....
the other can be, your oil squirters that lube up the rocker arms may be clogged with junk and are not lubing them properly... and finally, you need to put your ear near the motor while someone revs it up a bit to find out if it is in your top end of the motor or the bottom end... lighter/faster tapping is most likely top end... louder/slower tapping is usually bottom end.
