Probably will regret making this thread.
I am just curious as to what a good first build would be. And not necessarily an everyday driver, but at least street ready. I'm talking block, internals, etc. Not just a bunch of bolt-ons (well, maybe a few

). This is probably an application for a drag/street setup, not drifting, so basically looking for a more high-end power ready engine rather than the typical low-end drift setup. This is why part of me is leaning towards a KA build. Because if I heard correctly, the KA24DE can hold higher HP gains than the typical SR20's, but I might be pulling that outta my ass. I'd also like to experiment with a turbo equipped engine though, so the other half of me leans towards an SR build. I know I could try KA-T, seeing as apparently thats the new hotness, but I dont want to risk it with a less reliable engine setup route, on top of this being my first build. And it seems that community knowledge wise, I'd get a little more help on the way with an sr20det, anyways.
Im not trying to ask which engine is better, but what engine would be the better build experience, with a decent outcome. Say what you will...
