whether your talking...
1. 10 degress ot total timing advance at atmospheric
2. 10 over base idle setting at idle (16+10= 26deg btdc)
3. 10 degress over the preferred total timing advance at atmospheric(roughly 35deg btdc)
none will cause a motor to spin a bearing. oil starvation or bad bearing clearances will cause this. excessive blowby causing contaminated oil can also over time.
just do me a favor and stop saying he caused your motor to spin a bearing
ok so advancing the timing won't put any type of strain on your motor compared to stock timing? did i get that right? if thats the case why doesn't everyone just advance there timing to the max through the dizzy, cam gears or whatever? John claimed he never FUCKED with timing on my motor because it didn't like it, i would get spark plug knock (don't know the real name.) i'm not saying that my motor blew up strictly from his tune but i guarantee you, it DEFINATLY helped the fuck out. why would it take someone 5 times to keep fixing there mistakes on there tune to try and get the motor squared away? and it still didn't run perfect, i have the WRONG injectors that i bought from him. and he jewed me out of $80 on them, he bought them for $200 off of Vance and i paid $280, wouldn't i get some money back there>? in which i have NEVER asked for! and supposedly i gained 30 HP on the dyno, if that was the case, how come my car wasn't ANY QUICKER? can someone please explain that to me????
