i say go for it...


as long as you have people willing to help you out and not leave you with a non running car, with a bunch of cash dumped into it.

as for the 305 thing.. the bottom end is just as strong as a 350. it just lacks a few cubes, so it will be down on power a bit, compared to the 350 with the same mods.. but they still love spray and all the parts you buy to make the 305 work will bolt to the 350... once its all sorted out and drivable, and you've learned a shit ton by building it up. the 350 or even a good 406 will slide right in.


also its hard as hell to find a 3rd gen with a 350 from the factory... most are 305s autos anyways... and non of the 350s came in manual cars, but you can swap a t56 into one pretty damn easily,(thats whats i did) so why deal with finding a 350 auto then having to swap the tranny anyways? just do both to the shell u already have and like.
