Nissan designed that motor with boost in mind.
Swap pistons and some other small details, and that short block is ready for 700hp. While still at 3.0.
That 3000 could be better spent elsewhere.
I couldn't agree with you more, the stroker would just be nice cause I haven't seen any, but you're right in the fact that 700hp is capable without going so crazy and that power is about what I'm shooting for. So far what I have planned is
Arias 88mm pistons
Pauter rods
JWT R5 cams and HD springs
Ferrera 1mm over valves
ARP studded head and mains
Modded 240 TB's
And of course the usual port+polished heads and extrude honed intakes.
As far as the exhaust the SS manifolds that came with the turbos aren't bad but I've been reading about a new set for the 16g's that are supposed to breath better and be less prone to cracking or I'll just install flex joints in the test pipes.
