I used to stay away from Ti retainers in street cars too but I've also had brand new oem retainers with brand new keepers drop valves because the oem retainer broke in half. It's a tough call.
Yup. Had a car do this a couple months ago. OEM retainers and valve springs. Sorry to say it wasnt an OEM bottom end
I will stick with my titanium retainers
