What cams/rpm range are you planning for ? Is it a daily driver ?

Reason being excessive spring pressures really beat up valve seats, also think about your valve guides and compatible materials with the valves. Titanium retainers are cool , but wear quicker than stock or the crower chromoly ones. The Ti retainers allow for an extra 200-300 rpm before valve float. Just some things for you to think about.

I myself like to drive my car and the thought of a retainer failing makes me sick.

Alot of the newer valve spring designs have a snap fit where the springs snap into the retainer. That way the spring and retainer move as one piece and don't wear on each other like most of the older spring/retainer designs.

I used to stay away from Ti retainers in street cars too but I've also had brand new oem retainers with brand new keepers drop valves because the oem retainer broke in half. It's a tough call.

Yup. Had a car do this a couple months ago. OEM retainers and valve springs. Sorry to say it wasnt an OEM bottom end I will stick with my titanium retainers

Thats how my Ferrea stuff is... It was a real tight fit and took a LOT of pressure to snap it in place... At first Neal actually though I had gotten the wrong shit cuz it just didnt seem to wanna go together lol

What is your reasoning for this? I'm curious. A GT32 is A LOT SMALLER than a GT42. I have pictures of both on my computer. When I get home I will post a comparison

Ditch the oil squirters and factory oil cooler. The oil squirters are not needed on a motor with forged pistons and the factory oil cooler does not work well and is a source for potential leaks and other problems.

Alpha the reason I have is the spooling of the turbo . with lower 8 to 8.5 compression you can feed more air in the chamber meaning more gases coming out of the hot side making the bigger turbo spool quicker and with less risk of detonation with more boost .I believe the gt45 have 10 fins making it more stable at higher shaft rpms but the gt35 have 11 fins that is why spin quicker
correct me if I am wrong
KJ I know your point but with oil cooler and oil squirters you decrease the temperature of the oil meaning the oil will be more stable also meaning engine will run about 5 to 7 percent cooler meaning more life to your engine and maybe couple of hp and or tq .You know when you race what makes the difference is a little here and there . Hope you understand my point.............Thanks.........Omar
