btw thanks for pointing out the SCCA - Forumula D link Mark, wasnt aware of it. I'll have to talk to some SCCA folks i know and find out why there are no grassroots drifting events, only the Formula D stuff.

I am thinking the venue and track setup would be somewhat similar, the tech and cars some what similar the only real diff is not using a timing system. Am I missing something ?

oh and i know the maturity level of the participants blah blah blah .. lets assume its the same. Lets assume its the same set of people going to both events.


my only guess on this, is that the cars look out of control... so they think the risk of hurting people is much higher than with an autocross...




I will add that this is the best chance I've seen in a long time to get a tampa event done... we have tr/tf asking how much it would cost them... DC saying they would put their name into it.


hey matt... are these places road course or parking lots? if its parking lots...why so much?
