Heh.. Im really avoiding pulling the heads, because if I do they probably wont go back on

I'll end up goin with something aluminum, then the money I just spent on headers and springs/locks/retainers would be wasted, and I would have to get new rockers because I wouldnt be able to bring myself to use pedestal mounts.. then I would be needing pushrods at a minimum, and probably custom length ones at that..Plus the price of headgaskets and bolts..Then I will have nice heads on a shitty cast piston shortblock.
My grander plan is to get the swap going first, since a small block was never offered in this truck. The wiring is custom, and its a bit tricky being OBD-II/EEC-V with a computer controlled 4R70W to boot. Once I prove it to work, then I want to build another motor from the ground up.
And to think, a year ago I never woulda thought I would own another pushrod engine. Now I got this project in my F150 and a built blower motor in the GT... LOL
