Sorry to hear about the clutch. Honestly, what you should have done, before bring it to the public's attention, should been to have called Driven Concepts and see if there's anything they are willing to do.
I personally gave that clutch to your dad and showed him the life in the clutch disk. When selling used clutches, we only eyeball to judge the approximate life of the clutch. The vass majority of clutches we come arcoss are taken from motors that come directly from Japan. We DO NOT sell failed clutches taken from other donor motors.
Was the clutch put in by an establishment? Did you replace the throwoout bearing or pilot bearing? Was the clutch pedal adjusted properly? Was the throwout bearing properly pressed onto the cone? There are a lot of if's, but like sleeperek9 stated, knowing me, I would have taken care of it.
Now, with you knowing that I just might 'do the right thing' for you, you were told at the time of purchase that there's no warranty, in another words, you should have inspected the product.
My only point is that posts such as this puts unnecessary strain on a business, becasue it puts negativity to other members of this forum. You should approach the establishment in which you visited and giving them the oppertunity to see if they can 'do the right thing'.
