Default high Compression Questions

I just ordered a set of CTR Pistons for my LS/VTEC. I heard i will encounter Gas problems such as not being able to use Pump Gas. My compression Came out to a 12.4:1 CR. One of my more experience tech at work told me if I did some headwork that i wouldn't have to worry about using Pump fuel. Basically right now This is what my set up is.

Head work-
B16 Head, Skunk2 Valvetrain,Skunk2 STD Size Valves, KMS Silicon Bronze Valve Guides, AEBS IM, Hondata IM gasket, 70MM Holley TB, AEM Fuel Rail, RC 310 Injectors, B&M FPR, Port and Polish, 3 Angle Valve job, Buddy Club Spec 4's cams and camgears, OEM 3-Layer Head Gasket, and TODA Timing BELT.

Block-
B18A1, Shotpeened PR4 Rods, CTR 81mm Pistons, ACL Race Bearings and Thrust Washers, P30 OIL and Water Pump, ARP MAIN, ROD, AND Head Bolts.


Am I safe to use 93 Octane or will I encounter Pings and pre Det.
