Default F!@#ink ford...anybody with corporate connections??

Long story short, my dad bought an explorer sport brand new in '02. A few months ago, the paint started peeling off, and now most of it looks like crap. He took it to ford, and they admitted having a problem with some of the paint from that year, but because his car was out of warranty they wouldnt help him. He went to ford corporate customer service, and they also admitted it was bad paint and their fault, but would only cover 50%. I think if they admit it was bad paint from the beginning, they should cover to fix it. Anybody have numbers to customer resolutions or anything like that???
