The base model ZX3 is such a friggin' ripoff now. Back when I purchased my base 2000 ZX3 it was pretty much loaded with power everything, rear swaybar, alloy wheels, A/C, etc for $13k. Now they base just under $15k and don't even come with A/C standard (not to mention no sway bar, crappy hubcaps, no tach, etc). WTF!?!? It is as if Ford is following in Honda's footsteps by actually offering a car without A/C (the Civic base comes without it). Luckily you can get a heavy discount on the new ZX3 and get good deals on pre-owned vehicles.
