The 5.4 will drop in the mustang without any body mods. You won't have to touch the shock towers. You will need a tubular k-member made for a mod motor swap.

Oh one more thing. You can keep the A/C. My car has ice cold A/C with powersteering and powerbrakes.

I already have a mod motor to C4 bellhousing I cant get rid of..LOL I figure its gotta be worth that just for the heads if nothing else(its a 99 model).
You have a hydro boost system for brakes, right?
As for someones post about the weight, can a 5.4 really be all that much heavier than an iron headed windsor?? I cant imagine it being so...
