My wife has a 96 Civic EX and has about 106,000 miles on it. I think it is about time to replace the timing belt, while I am at it might as well replace the water pump.

My ??? is, I have never done this. How massive of an undertaking is it?

I cannot see paying $300+ in labor for $60-75 in parts.

I am reasonably mechanically inclined, is it possible/worth doing it myself.
