I have a problem, I want to get more/some traction and I would like to do it on drag radials. I have 16x8'' 3rd gen rx7 wheels that weigh 13.5lbs each with 26x10.5 ET streets on them. I would like to put some 275 or bigger drag radials on them but both BFG and nitto dont make anything wider than 255's on 16's.

Does anyone know of any other company that makes drag radials wider than 255mm on 16's? Or does anyone have any suggestions. I know I could get 15" wheels and put 275's on them, but that costs alot and most companies dont make anything wider than 15x7.

I am also aware that with a thinner tire I will have more weight/inch, but I still think a 275 nitto drag radial will hook better than a 255, am I wrong?

Also is it safe to run ET streets on the street even when racing on the highway at high speeds. I have heard lots of stories about that.
