As someone who tows somewhat frequently, take it from me, you do not want to tow a boat that big with a VW. That boat and trailer will weigh probably 2500 lbs. That's almost doubling the weight of your car. The clutch won't like it, and the guy in front of you at the light won't like it when you rearend him because you couldn't stop in time.
