blowers take power to make power, a small S-Trim vortech takes 60-75hp to spin 45,000rpm not to mention the added rotational mass and vibration on the bearings if the blower pulley were to be misweighted or not aligned properly, not to mention inevitable belt slippage...and roots blowers make ALOT of heat. you will not make more power with a blower at the same pressure, compairable airflow capabilities, and equal efficiency as you will with a turbo.
i will not deny the fact turbo's love heat, its expanded..as it cools the air denses down...but for some whacky reason, dont ask me why, but the turbo companies had this cooky idea to use different aspect ratios on the hotside.
you could also quit acting like you know what your talking about, and not look retarded, but that wouldnt make sense, because 95% of this board never makes things easy on themselves.
as for theft, that was one of the 1st things i talked about with rick at STS when they had just developed the 1st kits, he was looking to set some up for sea level (his initial kits were done at 4000+ feet, avg DA was almost 6000' he said) and was offering them cheap for test subjects. really no way to prevent it, if someone wants it they will get it with a saw on the piping.
