the guts from a sohc to dohc will fit physically , but the location of the rotor/end gear will not be the same as a true dohc dizzy.
I hope that makes sense to you, if not I will try to explain it better. But just look at the two side by side.......... the end gear will fit into the cam , but the rotor won't be pointing to the correct cylinder.
