I see what you're saying and do agree, but not entirely. A 20v can make the same power (or more) than a VR. The stress on the motor is the issue. 400hp in a VR and 400hp in a 1.8t are two different things... That little motor is walking on eggshells in that range; while the VR is still in it's proven "safe zone".

Disclaimer: This is not intended to start a poll or competition between motors, but experience with both has led me to the long term strength and reliability of a VR.
