I installed the supertones yesterday...Using the minimum tools I managed to get them working quickly. Installation is easy--the part that took the longest was gathering the electrical connectors, cutting and crimping.
I ghetto'd mine up by not having heat shrinks or dielectric grease--but I will be doing weather-proofing back home(key west) tomorrow where I have the tools to do so.
I went the easy way using the 'signal' from the stock horn. Write here or PM me if you want to hook yours up!!!
basic materials include (to just get it working):
7ft of 14 gauge wire
9 or 10 FEMALE disconnects (buy 2-6 packs in case a crimp goes bad)
1 male disconnect
4 ring terminals (2 horn ground, 1 relay ground, 1 power)
1 3-way ring terminal
weatherproofing:
heat shrings
dielectric grease
of course you'll need other stuff(usually people have these) like wire crimps/cutter/stripper, a heat gun.
If you want to get crafty and mount them in an unusual place you'll need a drill/bits and bolts to secure them...
