you only have to push the right side on the back fenderwell area in the bay about 4 inches not too hard could do it with a mallot but that wouldn't look as clean if you sanded it down and heated it up to hit it

Bob: Would it be easier, instead of getting out the torch to heat it, and everything else that you have to do along with that; ........... to make an aluminum "bump" (same size as beaten area) and cut a hole and rivet it to the firewall where you would have done the beating?...........save a smidgen of weight too.-Bob
2nd alternative, cut out the space that would be recessed, and make an aluminum sheet metal box to recess into the firewall. What do you think?-Bob

While I can make both, the fastest/easiest for me is to make the box, and
recess it into the firewall.
