+1, but because everyone I try to talk to about stuff like that only knows flywheel HP and doesnt even know what a flywheel is, not to mention "wheel HP" gets different when you talk to someone with a different drivetrain layout than you, a la Evo vs. Supra. If both engines had identicle power output in their respective cars that for the sake of arguement weighed exactly the same with the same gear ratios, the Evo would be faster from a dig, though I think it wouldnt be that much slower in the top end.
Basically I usually use flywheel because its more universal. I also use it because I'm modding my car the wrong way; putting performance parts as my goal on there and just seeing how much power I get out of it. Honestly I dont have a power goal...whatever my planned mods give me power wise is good enough for me
