pilot powers are not the best track day tires. get a softer compound like a pirelli supercorsa or a michellin S2 race....those are going to give you the best fell and feed back to what is going on under you, and they dont need tire warmers like slicks do.
i can get you a set of pirelli supercorsa (supersoft front, soft rear)take offs 120 front and 180 read for $60 a new set is going to run you around $350
bro, its his first trackday, he probably wont run quick enough lap times to make those tires work, which would be a waste of money for him

UNLESS your running below 1:27-30's, the PP street tires work great, 10 times better than the race tires would work at that pace.
