I wouldn't let a "Made in U.S.A." badge be my major factor in buying one product if I like another. I'm not saying Dunlops are good or bad, but it's sad when your major deciding factor is whether or not they're made in the U.S. I would buy Michelin's even if they were made in Mexico, cause I know Michelin's are da ish no matter where they are made (except F1 tyres, hahahahahahahahaha

). Not like you look to see if your underwear were U.S.-made or not (or maybe you do, haha), you just know that your FOTL's hold up, so you keep buying them, even if they are China-made.
Quite frankly, the only reason U.S. stuff holds together half the time is because we overbuild everything, so it makes up for our loss in efficiency and carefully designing a product. There's a reason companies like Toyota and Sony are at the top of there markets.....they engineer better products. Instead of being lazy, most Europian and Asian companies are models of efficiency and reasearch-driven technology. They'll stay until after 5pm if that's what it take, where we would rather leave at 4:30pm. It's not like I'm proud to say it, but that's just how it is. That's not to say that overseas stuff is always better, i.e.-China's mass-production, etc. But I know that I'd rather buy a Honda-engineered car made on U.S. soil than a Chevy-engineered car made on Japanese-soil. And I wouldn't let a Dunlop-engineered tire with a "Made in Japan" badge deter me from buying it.
There's still no substitute for the good ol' American-made cheeseburger, though. Haha!
