Anyway, 11.2:1 on a blower is risky business, keep that timing way down and keep it fat. Even then you are asking for it... you could try running a real thick gasket to compensate as well.
+1...If you have the money then turbo is definitely the way to go, but the kits I've seen are between $4400-$4800. I also agree with the compression issue, sounds a little high, but you may be ok with a low boost(6 psi) kit.
