Although it's not a good thing, my Tempo has gone about 6,000 miles on the oil that's in it now. 3,000 of that was all highway driving within 2 weeks.

That's on Wal-Mart oil. I keep a gallon in the trunk, though I have only added about 1 quart since I changed it last (before the trip).
