Ok i guess my info was little old never the less over head cam set up is always better than pushrod thats the point I'm trying to say. And the report says 10k is not yet possible. never the less the cobra engine or the new lincoln LS 3.9 V-8 are good engines but they are not pushrod engines. push rod engine suck compared to over head cams. Lincoln LS engine was NOT DESIGNED BY FORD it was already on the drawing tables at Jaguar when ford bought the company. Jaguar just never had the money to build it. The LS engine is by far the best engineered engine in the ford lineup as of right now.
Euro cars are more here you are right, but if you jump the lake its vice versa. meaning that mustang in europe is more money than BMW, Audi etc. THe new M5 has a v-10 that redlines at 8800rpm stock yes thats right stock and lasts who knows forever, But it doesn't have pushrods.....
On the solid rear and IRS side, even Ford admits that IRS is better by using IRS in their Cobra (flagship) mustangs. Which is all aluminum diff one of the lightest and nicest diffs I've ever seen. propably weights less than half of the original cast diffs.
