Freethinker, without quoting your whole post and commenting on each, I'll share my thoughts.
Why do you need to provide drinks for the drivers? They are big boys, they can buy their own. I've never been to a drag strip or circle track and received a free drink.
Why are you flying an MC in from California? That is absurd to spend that kind of money on an event that obviously has such a limited appeal.
Track workers, not sure what the track workers are responsible for, but why not find some local guys who are not participating in the event and have them work the track in exchange for free entry to the event (spectating). Or, take a hint from the R/C car events and have the drivers work the track in rotation throughout the day. No track work, no drift. If people complain about having to work the track, link them back to this thread and ask them if they want a cheap event or do they want to sit around by their car all day.
