I have been to this track to see about organizing an event there and to get a feel for the 'driftability' of the course.

A good drift layout can absolutely be setup at the Gainesville track, (probably even 2 courses at once) but the track is a bit narrow for my tastes and it's not cheap either, plus there are no spectator stands out there and not really many good places to install any unless they widen the runoff areas.

The track has potential and we will re-assess what can be done if there is enough demand for a new track to drift. In order for the track to invest more time in making the roadcourse more spectator friendly they will probably want some sort of multi-event commitment from an organizer, or the first event will cost like $200 per person.

PS- In my cost analysis for the SpeedWorld event on the 25th I forgot to mention the over $1,000 in cash and prizes that were given or are in the mail for the top three finishers.
