I don't know a single person that drag races regularly , that runs respectable times that doesn't break engines , go through tires like crazy , break transmissions e.t.c. Also considering the engines mods required for something like this, drag racing can get crazy expensive. I've seen people blew holes through engine blocks , break rear ends , synchronizers e.t.c. I guess i was overlooking drifting from a cost perspective, so you guys are right to a extent, still nothing cheap about resleeving engines , forced induction , supporting modifications, slicks e.t.c. All forms of motorsports are pay to play sports.
