That is a hardcore old wives tale. Grounding out your battery on your seat brackets tends to do the real damage, right?

As far as the battery relocation, the only thing that I could see as a problem would be a current drop to the ECU. From past Mustang experiances, I know that their ECU's are picky about that and will falter if they don't have enough voltage. I am unsure about the 240's and how picky they are in that aspect. My old SR 240 had no issues with a rear mounted battery, so I am just scratching my head on this one.

Just thought I would throw out some ideas for you to ponder.
