It's possible still that your not getting a good connection for the electric - I always run a positive and negative cable from the battery in the rear to the front of the car. Did you check to see if you knocked any vacuum lines off anywhere? I would turn the car on and try fiddling with most of the connections for electrical and such under the hood. It might help it might not - just a suggestion. Sorry to hear it's being so difficult.
batteries on concrete is a myth...its been tested many times...doesn't do anything. What gauge wire did you use when you relocated it? its gotta be big man...thats what i found out.

As far as the battery relocation, the only thing that I could see as a problem would be a current drop to the ECU. From past Mustang experiances, I know that their ECU's are picky about that and will falter if they don't have enough voltage. I am unsure about the 240's and how picky they are in that aspect. My old SR 240 had no issues with a rear mounted battery, so I am just scratching my head on this one.
Just thought I would throw out some ideas for you to ponder.
do you have any RFI tape to wrap the wires in, that would probably help keep the readings from the MAF smoother, with less interferance from the TPS signal, wrap both with the RFI tape.
