Probably because like me if you can afford to run into the 7s or 8s, you can afford another car for doing OTHER things. Some people like twisties and see drag racing as pointless. Some see racing around cones as a stupid. Some see true turning left all day (well, maybe twice a year add some rights in there too) as stupid. Some see taking a perfectly good car and racing it through dirt, water, gravel, ice, etc extremely stupid.

The fact is, you aren't shit, and thus don't have the right to pass judgement on anything other than to say "well fuck, that's faster than anything I'll ever own, so that's pretty fuckin cool". If you want to build a 3 rotor FC, I'll be the 1st one to say that's bad ass, and then tell you that your ratty ass interior, out-of-date body styling, and weed-whacker exhaust tone are NOT my style. "Who would waste all of that money on a car that sounds like a pissed off bumble bee just to race around cones? Isn't that what the go-kart track is for?"
