I blew them up just experiementing on them over reving mainly. But could out run anything on the street. Nothing more then a stock single cam motor spraying 100 shot of nitrous. ACT clutch and a flawless crx si tranny. Pretty impressive the d series motors can be. Which is why iam selling my lsvtec build and 1.6 block and a gsr hydro tranny for a d series build. hint hint. Ive seen single cams with a 1in. plate, sc61. Not really all fimliar with terms of the turbo or turbos. But 800cc injectors. Clamied to have 800whp. And it did look and drive like it had 800hp. If you guys would have seen this you would have seen this you would have been in all out AW! So iam saying the single cams are just as good as any dual over head.
Their used to be a daily driven hatch on honda-tech with a built z6 pushing over 550whp and it was daily driven for quite some time , held up well (not sure if the block is still in one piece). One thing is for sure the A6's and the ZC's are the strongest of the D series interms of stock bottom end integrity. They have better rods then the later D's and have main girdles wich the newer engines lack. Other then that all D series blocks are pretty much the same.
