While all of the haters call them ugly, at least the nose was designed to be purpose built, to be aerodynamically slippery, that is why it has the lowest drag cooefficient of any streetbike currently made. I think the busa has some of the nicest lines ever designed into a streetbike. Some other bikes have ugly nose cones too..but for zero purpose, just some jap guys idea of what a bike should look like. They handle sporty enough once you get the suspension dialed in properly.
