you are getting power to the ground for the starter solnoid? When the key is turned? If not trace back to under the dash. Check for continutiy on the relay clutch interlock etc.. Have someone help you. One sit in the car and start it like normal. Test for power on the ground wire on the starter itself while turning the key. Sounds like though you already know what your doing. Iam sure you find your problem.
