Hoonta, AIM me about the welding, I'd need it kinda quickly (as in done quickly and soon if possible).
The axles are held in by a roll pin, but that's only to prevent them from flying off of the splined output shaft-deals - its a plenty adequate means of delivering power. Are you talking about the little c-clips on the hub side?
The fusing of the center diff is what I'm planning on doing, mainly because there are no machined rwd conversion parts for the Legacy like there are for wrx and 2.5rs. Think of it as putting a pickup truck in 4-wheel mode and taking out the front driveshaft.
Found some new wheels at the junkyard today for 60 bizux, 15x7 meshes with about a 1" lip and muuuch better offset (like +20 over +40-something). Will post pics soon...
