I'm pretty sure if you turned me loose on a stock crx weighing 1800 pounds and gave me 1000 dollars to work with I'd have it down below 1500 pounds without breaking a sweat. Probably take off around 200 pounds for free.

all that sound deader just looked like alot of work and yes , carpet had no padding. the hatch was also lightened aka grinder > the hatch. Majority of the undercoating was taken off to wtih a grinder. BUt anyways that was when i was young and stupid .
