Why would you even downshift when coming to a stop? I kick it into neutral (usually I'll blip the throttle and pop the shifter out without touching the clutch) and apply brakes. Rev matching and downshifting is annoying because you aren't racing, just driving. Brakes are MUCH easier to replace than a clutch.
Because it sounds fucking cool when a '67 Camaro is rolling up to a stop while scavenging in the mufflers! Same goes for the Harley.
